Livelihood

At Charis Foundation, we believe that true empowerment begins with opportunity. Our livelihood programmes are designed to help individuals and families move from dependency to self-reliance by providing them with the skills, resources, and confidence to earn a sustainable income. Through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and market linkages, we enable people—especially women and youth—to build dignified livelihoods, uplift their communities, and create lasting change.
Tailoring
We train women from vulnerable backgrounds in tailoring, equipping them with all the skills and tools they need to start their own business.
This helps raise women out of extreme poverty and empower them with financial independence.

Driving
We provided women from rural and urban poor backgrounds with autos, training and all the documentation they need to be auto drivers in Chennai.
These women are now self-sufficient and financially independent.
